THE FIRST ANNUAL MEMORIAL 2.5 MILE WALK & 5K RUN 
TO BENEFIT CAPTAIN CHRISTOPHER SCOTT CASH SCHOLARSHIP FUND 


Please join us on June 25, 2005 for the First Annual Memorial 2.5 Mile Walk & 5K Run to benefit the CAPTAIN CHRISTOPHER SCOTT CASH SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Captain Christopher Cash was a graduate of Old Orchard Beach High School in 1985 and died on June 24, 2004, while serving our country in Iraq. This scholarship fund has been set up to award an outstanding student athlete graduating from Old Orchard Beach High School.

The 2K Walk & 5K Race begins and ends at Old Orchard Beach Ball Park, 40 E. Emerson Cummings Road, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. 

The run begins at 8:30am. The course is approved by USATF. Official timing will be by Yankee Timing Company. 

The walk begins at 8:40am. There will also be a Free Fun Run for kids 12 and under at 8:00AM. 

Free T-shirts will be given to first 500 registrants. Free refreshments for all, and free breakfast will be provided to all participants. Both Walkers and Runners will be eligible for prizes. Cash awards and trophies will be given to top runners in various categories.

Registration will be available on the day of the event and will take place between 6:30am - 8:15am. Pre-race packets can be picked up on June 24, 2005 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at OOB High School.
