Flat Top 5K in Honor of Bill Pinkham, Lamoine, Come and celebrate the memory of Bill Pinkham by running or walking in a fast 5K on country roads that Bill ran on many times. The date is April 1, 2006, the time is 9:30 for walkers, 10:00 for runners, the place is the Lamoine School in the village of Lamoine on Rt. 184. Runners and walkers should report to the school for registration which will be open at 8:00 for those not preregistered. Please report at least 30 min. before the start. Walkers start 30 minutes ahead of the runners. The school will be available for changing clothes after the race, refreshments and the awards. Male and female age groups 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-25, 26-29, 30-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76 and up. First and second male and female walkers. 1st Annual Ma’nakwane Memorial 5K Run/Walk - Indian Island ME @ 1:00 pm - Community Building.  Please join us for the 1st Annual Ma’nakwane Memorial 5K Run/Walk to be held in memory of Lindsey Marie Ma’nakwane Almenas.  Lindsey’s life was ended on September 21, 2005 when a tragic accident took her life and the life of her boyfriend Ryan S. Worcester of Alton while on their way to high school.  Our mission is to continue creating events to remember Lindsey and Ryan and to create opportunities for other high school students.   A scholarship has been created in Lindsey’s name to benefit native youths who plan to pursue higher education.  This memorial run/walk will raise money for this scholarship fund. Hope Festival Earth Day 5K Fun Run, 11:00 a.m. at the University of Maine fieldhouse.  Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. when the festival starts.  The race will start at the main door of the fieldhouse facing the Quad, and will go out the bikepath and back to the start.  Entry fee is $5.  Contact Judd Esty-Kendall at 866-4048 or e-mail jestyk@aol.com.
