3rd Annual Ma'nakwane Memorial 5K Run/Walk, at the Penobscot Nation Community Building on Indian Island, ME @ 10:00AM (registration 8-9:45am). Entry Fee: $12.00 pre-registration until March 30th; $15.00 day of race ***t-shirt included with pre-registration***. T-shirts can be purchase for $10.00. Proceeds to benefit: Lindsey Almenas Scholarship Fund. This educational scholarship was created to remember the beautiful life Lindsey Almenas. Our mission is to implement a Driver Awareness program geared toward area high school students to help them recognize the importance of remaining alert and aware of all aspects on driving. We are hopeful that by providing road awareness to our future teenage drivers, we can help reduce teenage fatal car accidents that take place more than we know. ***This year we will award $2000 in scholarships to eligible graduating seniors from Old Town High School who are pursing a post secondary education.
