Legs for Lacher & Lacher's Walkers, 9:00 AM in Bucksport, ME. Benefit 5K for Andy Lacher of Bookstacks.

Coordinating the event is Kristin McDermott, DO of Bucksport who will donate 100% of the proceeds to Andy. Entrance fees ($10 adults, $8 students) as well as pledge donations collected by participants represent the funds to be raised. Legs for Lacher will be a timed event, with prizes awarded to top finishers. General drawings will be held for all participants, and grand prizes for top fund raisers will also be awarded after the race. Kristin is currently seeking volunteers, cash donations, and prize offerings from the community. More information, registration forms, and sponsor sheets will be available as the route is approved. If you are out of loop and have not heard, Andy fell Christmas Eve, ripping four tendons in his knee and crushing his ankle. He has been home bound since then and the community has come together to run several fundraising events to help cover the cost as Andy does not have insurance.
