Ralph Thomas 8K Run/Walk, Indian Island, Old Town, ME. In an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle with our youth and to assist tribal members who have unexpected financial needs due to health issues, we have organized the Ralph K. Thomas 8K Run/Walk. Mr. Thomas, a Penobscot Tribal member, was inducted into the Maine Running Hall of Fame in 1989. He won many road races during his running career and was one of the most admired and loved long distance runners of his day. It is our desire to honor him and to give our youth another positive role model from within the Penobscot Tribe. Farm to Farm 5K TURKEY TROT and Pie Sale, Athens, ME. Brought to you by the Athens Victory Club. Race starts at 2:00 PM at the Sites Strawberry Farm on Joaquin Road. Send an early registration of $3 by November 13^th and receive a FREE fleece scarf! (Children under 10 need not pay, but do need to register). Hand made ribbons to be awarded to top runners, walkers, and children under 10. All participants will be placed in a drawing for a Thanksgiving Dinner Basket. Dessert pies will be on sale for $6.
