5K Race for the Lakes, Belgrade, ME. Sponsored by the Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance. A rolling, out and back course on Point Road. Start at 8 am. 5K registration fee: $15 pre-registered by 8/28/09 includes race shirt or $18 with no shirt. Registration begins at 6:30 am. 5K Award Ceremony to follow with awards for Overall Men and Women, 1st, 2nd and 3rd; and Mens and Womens in (6) age groups each, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The funds raised will support Milfoil Prevention and create a Watershed-wide Action Plan (WAP) to improve water quality and public enjoyment of the seven Belgrade lakes for all who live, work, visit, and play in the thirteen towns of the Belgrade Watershed.
