With a start time of 8AM on Wednesday, July 4th the race is open to all runners, joggers and walkers. After a loop through downtown Winthrop, the “feel good” course follows along the eastern shore of Maranacook Lake.
Pre-registration ($25) is highly recommended. Race day registration ($30) starts at 7AM at the American Legion, 117 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop. There is no guarantee of a t-shirt and gift bag on race day registrations.
Proceeds from this race support programs and projects offered by the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed, a 7,000-member organization whose mission is the “Protect and Improve the 28 Lakes and Streams of the Cobbossee Watershed.”
