Viking 5k Race/Walk
for Education
Saturday, July 30th – Sears Island
A 9am race on beautiful Sears Island with NO vehicular traffic! Race takes place on conservation land. Course starts with a hill and ends going down the same hill into the finish line – it’s an island loop! A portion of the loop is packed gravel, the rest is a wide paved avenue. Prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers (male & female) in each age bracket: 0-12,13-18,19-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+
T-shirts to the first 50 registrants.
Entrance to the race is $15.00.
Race is professionally timed.
We welcome serious runners and walkers, alike, to beautiful Sears Island! You won’t have to try to dodge traffic, or inhale car fumes, in this race! There is no vehicular traffic on the island, making this race the only one of its kind in the area. Extremely family-friendly if you have kids who want to try running a 5k for the first time.
